Find Adams County Released Mugshots

A mugshot of a released Adams County inmate may remain available after the person leaves the jail roster. The fastest Adams County booking photo route is usually the sheriff's recent intake and release feed while the booking remains in its rolling window. Older photos may require an official records request. A state corrections photograph, selected sheriff news item, or dated local report can supply another lead when the custody path changed. Booking photos remain with their source agencies; no copied mugshot gallery is hosted. Each image should be matched to the right person and confirmed against the release record or court file.

Adams Released Booking Photo Records

A booking photo is made during an arrest and intake process. Release does not erase that source record. Mississippi's Public Records Act broadly reaches photographic public-record material, subject to exemptions, court orders, and confidentiality rules. The law does not require the Adams County Sheriff's Office to keep a permanent online gallery. The rolling public portal can therefore lose an older photo from view even when the agency still maintains the underlying booking record.

The sheriff's inmate-roster gateway warns that both information and photographs may be wrong because of improper reporting. Identity needs more than a face or name. Match age, intake date, arresting department, charge, and any booking, cause, or MDOC number. A photo confirms neither the later case outcome nor the physical release date.

Public-record and use notice. This resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. Mugshot information may not be used for any FCRA-covered purpose. Verify the image and status with the originating agency.

Adams Released Mugshot Sources

Adams County has several distinct photograph channels. They do not serve the same time period. The sheriff feeds work best for a recent county booking, while an MDOC image concerns a state corrections record. Selected news or press material is event based and cannot replace a systematic jail search.

ChannelHas photo?How to access it
Adams 24-hour feedYesOpen the rolling mixed intake/release view and require a filled Release Date for a released booking.
Adams 72-hour feedYesUse the wider rolling view after a missed day; it also mixes still-held and released entries.
Current jail rosterYesMatch a current booking while the person is held; do not treat it as a former-inmate archive.
Sheriff records requestWhen maintained and disclosableRequest the photo tied to a named booking through NextRequest.
MDOC detail recordYes for available active recordsMatch the MDOC number and identity fields in the state inmate search.
Sheriff press or newsSometimesReview selected official stories, then verify release through the jail or court.
Commercial or local-news copySometimesTreat it only as a lead; no commercial mugshot publisher is linked or endorsed.

No dependable Adams-specific third-party mirror with a documented longer retention period was confirmed. An unofficial copy can be stale, misidentified, or detached from a later dismissal or expungement. Official agency and court records should outrank it.

Recent Adams Release Mugshots

The Adams County iSOMS portal embeds booking photos in both recent windows. Begin with the 24-hour intake/release feed for same-day activity. Use the 72-hour option when the shorter window was missed. Both views display photos, name, age, class, race and sex, intake, city, arresting department and officer, release date, charge, and bond.

These are mixed views. A person may have a photo and still remain in custody. A populated Release Date is the decisive released-person field for that booking. A blank release field does not support release, and bond data alone does not prove that bond was posted. The Released Last 24 Hours page gives the full same-day field check.

The screen is a custody source, not a historical gallery. Once the row leaves public view, move to an agency request instead of assuming the photo was destroyed.

Note: A booking image and a release date answer different questions, so confirm both identity and custody outcome from the matching row.

Adams Mugshots Beyond the Roster

An official Adams County Sheriff's Office iOS app exists and is listed as sold by Adams County Government. The public app listing does not confirm an inmate, recent-release, or mugshot module. Do not rely on the app as a substitute for iSOMS. The mobile-accessible web portal remains the confirmed sheriff channel for recent booking photos and release fields.

The sheriff's press-release channel and its news material may include selected arrest-related images. Those posts are not a complete release archive. They may preserve the image tied to a notable event, but they do not by themselves show that the person was later released or how the case ended.

A successful capture from the official sheriff channel illustrates where selected Adams County images and event reports may appear.

Use the image as a lead to the originating record. The jail log and correct court file remain the sources for the custody exit and disposition.

Request an Adams Booking Photo

After the rolling window, submit a focused request through the Adams County sheriff records portal. Ask for the existing booking photograph associated with one specified booking. Add the intake or booking sheet and release record when identity or release status must also be confirmed. A vague request for all information can cause delay and may not identify the correct custody episode.

  1. Give the full name and approximate booking date. Add date of birth only when needed to separate similar names.
  2. Include a booking, jacket, cause, or MDOC number if one is known.
  3. Request the photograph tied to that booking, plus the intake and release sheet if needed.
  4. Ask for electronic PDF or JPEG files and for segregable nonexempt portions if any material must be withheld.
  5. Request a cost estimate before charges exceed a stated limit, then preserve the tracking number.

The sheriff has not published a fixed booking-photo fee or a guaranteed response time. Mississippi law permits actual search, review, duplication, and mailing costs. If a request is denied, the response should identify the exemption. Juvenile, sealed, expunged, medical, victim-protected, investigative, and other exempt material may be redacted or withheld.

The successful capture of the official Adams County request portal shows the proper channel for an older release record and booking photo.

This request route reaches the originating sheriff rather than a commercial copy, which also creates a tracking record for corrections or follow-up.

Adams MDOC Release Photographs

A person transferred from Adams County into state custody follows a different photograph path. MDOC detail records include an offender photo along with the MDOC ID, identity descriptors, entry date, current location, sentence facts, conviction county, and Tentative Release Date. The live search appeared active-record oriented. Absence from it does not prove that a former state prisoner was released or that no photo record exists.

The sheriff's M.D.O.C. Release archive is mainly text. It may give the offender name, MDOC number, offense, cause number, county, release date, and a parole, earned-release supervision, expiration, or detainer notation. That MDOC number can help match the state photo while the detail record remains public. For a past record no longer in the live search, request the offender data and release documentation from MDOC.

County and state photos document different intake systems. A county booking photo should not be labeled an MDOC prison photo, and a state offender photo should not be presented as proof of the county jail release date.

Note: Match the MDOC number and sentence facts before treating a state corrections photograph as the same person in an Adams booking.

Adams Mugshots and Expungement

The Adams County Sheriff's Office posted an “Expunge Mississippi” referral in May 2026. That local notice is a starting point, not a promise that a person or photo qualifies. Mississippi Code section 99-19-71 controls eligibility. Subsection (4) addresses arrest cases where a person was released and the matter was dismissed, charges were dropped, no disposition occurred, or the person was found not guilty.

Expungement means a court orders eligible records removed from ordinary public access under the statute. It is not automatic. The petition goes to the proper court, and felony relief has added offense, payment, sentence-completion, notice, waiting-period, and exclusion rules. A sheriff correction request is different: it addresses a wrong field or mismatched photograph and should include the exact URL, entry, error, and supporting official document.

The court and the photo custodian perform separate jobs. An Adams County court decides whether the case qualifies for expungement and issues the order. The sheriff then applies a valid order to records in its control. A dismissal date, acquittal, or blank online search does not by itself show that the photograph has been expunged. When the public portal and court file differ, obtain the signed court order and send it with a precise correction or removal request to the agency that published the image.

No enacted Mississippi-specific commercial mugshot pay-to-remove law was verified in the reviewed sources. A failed proposal does not create a right to private-site removal. Court expungement, correction of an official agency record, and a private publisher's own policy remain separate processes. Do not pay a service based on a claim that Mississippi law guarantees removal.

IssueCorrect route
Wrong photo or field in sheriff dataReport the error to ACSO with proof and the exact entry.
Eligible case should be expungedPetition the court under the current statute and obtain an order.
Old official photo no longer onlineRequest the agency record; absence from the web does not prove destruction.
Unofficial copy remains onlineUse the publisher's policy and any court order; do not assume an unverified state removal law.

For the full custody and court trail tied to a named person, use the Adams County release-record search. A photo can establish visual identity, but only the release record and court file explain the later outcome.
